At 49 (and a quarter) I realise how much of life is still left to live. And how, if you want something enough, anything ENOUGH you can make it happen.
I've decided to do all the things I've ever wanted to do - get a PhD, learn to shoot, fly a plane and ....... work as a medical volunteer in some remote place in a third world country. And that is what this blog starts with - a record of five weeks away at the Bushman Clinic in NE Namibia.
The literature about the project tells me not to try and plan too much, just to go with the flow and live in 'Africa time'. For a businesswoman who's days, weeks and months are often planned ahead this sounds like a whole new experience. And quite a daunting one at that.
Join me in the Bushman Medical Volunteer experience and beyond and maybe, perhaps, you'll decide to do something that pitches your own world around a bit. Because we all know, in order to change your life, you need to..... change your life.
